What If It Does Work Out?
“What If It DOES Work Out?” I came across this book title today, and excitement surged through my veins. Why do we try so hard to protect ourselves from heartbreak and failure by telling ourselves that it won’t work out?
Repeating this over and over actually creates a neural pathway in our brains that looks for evidence to support it. So, if we believe that it won’t work out, it probably won’t. Unless we change that belief.
At its core, is a wound that says we don’t deserve for it to work out. Or, we’re afraid that it will work out. Because staying small and comfortable is a state we know how to manage. And, anything bigger crosses into the scary unknown…
